The Reverend David W. Wettstein

St. Stephen's was established in West Boise in the Fall of 1962, from this place God has shaped lives of faith and service in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

SCRIPTURE TRADITION

The Bible is central to our life at St. Stephen's in preaching, study and giving guidance to our daily life and mission. You are invited to become part of one of the several Bible studies that meet during the week.

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is part of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, which means we are part of a Christian tradition that stretches back 2,000 years. Our worship is careful to maintain the Christian liturgical tradition by following Rite II from The Book of Common Prayer. Our music in worship is an important piece of our life together, blending Gospel, modern, traditional and classical to give roots and wings in our praise of God. Your presence in worship is a blessing.

REASON

Christ calls us into the world and to address its needs. Using faith, science and our experiences, it is our hope that we at St. Stephen's can speak the compassionate Gospel of our Lord to a world needing goodnews. Not every answer is clear and not everyone can agree, however, to remain faithful to God and charitable to one another may be the reasonable thing to do in living out our faith.
